Current Trends Impacting Hand Therapy Practice: A Practice Division Update

Description:

This short course will provide an update from the Practice Division and our legislative consultant, Tim Casey. Committee reports on current updates from the Practice Management, Advocacy, and Federal and State Regulations Committees will be provided. Topics will include an update on current legislation,CPT and L-code billing procedures, a review of commonly asked FAQs on the e-community, and pertinent regulatory and state updates.

Objective(s):

  • Participants will be able to describe at least two legislative bills that can impact their current practice.
  • Participants will be able to describe at least two billing and reimbursement updates that can impact their current practice.
  • Participants will be able to describe at least two pertinent state or regulatory updates that can impact their current practice.

Incoming Presidential Address: WHY?

Description:

WHY is ASHT relevant? WHY does what you do matter? And WHY should anyone care? At the end of the presentation, the audence will have a better understanding of WHY our organization exists. WHY leadership is significant to our profession and WHY it's important to be advocacy ambassadors for the specialty of hand therapy.

  • Describe WHY leadership is significant to our profession and how every individual can contribute.
