Alessia DiGennaro, OTR/L, CHT
Alessia graduated from Quinnipiac University and began her career as an occupational therapist working at both Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. After working in adult rehabilitation during her first years as an OT, she decided it was time to pursue a career in her true passion—hand therapy. She became a CHT in 2005. Currently she practices in an outpatient hand therapy facility in Southern California, where she enthusiastically shares her love of hand therapy by mentoring students and staff. She is the lead for the “Mentoring Program” and the “UE Institute-An Online Study Group for the Novice Practitioner” for the ASHT Education Division. She is a member of AOTA, ASHT and the South County Hand Therapy Study Group. She has taught at the Hand Therapy Review Course in Irvine, CA and Hands On Orthotics course, each offered by ASHT.
