JoAnn Keller, OTD, OTR/L, CHT
JoAnn serves on the HTCC Board of Directors and is also the chair for the Recertification and Practice Analysis committees.
JoAnn is an inspirational leader and thoughtful hand therapist. She owns Hands for Living, a private specialized hand therapy practice north of Seattle, Washington, in Lynnwood.
JoAnn has consistently been recognized as a leader in hand therapy. Her advocacy efforts have impacted state legislation for occupational therapy three different times in two states, and she is a regular advocate for her patients. She was awarded the national level Lindy Boggs Award from AOTA for career-long efforts to advocate for occupational therapy and our clients. She has also been recognized four times at the state level as an Outstanding Occupational Therapist. She served as a member of the Hand Transplant Team for the second U.S. hand transplant patient in 2002.
JoAnn is a native of Minnesota, and worked in Colorado, Kentucky, and Alaska prior to settling in Washington state in 2004. She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and earned her clinical doctorate at the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She was the Director of Therapy for a large hand surgery and therapy group in the north Puget Sound area for many years before opening her private practice.
Outside of hand therapy, JoAnn enjoys competing in dressage and jumping competitions with her horse, as well as travel, hiking, and skiing.
